Where to find us: Ground Floor Plan

The Russian Journals Room is located on the right side of the ground floor, the entrance is next to the Copy Service Desk. In the room you can view Russian magazines, printed from 1755 to the 1950s, and current periodicals most requested by our readers. But readers must submit requests for items from the Russian Periodical Collection, published between 1755 and 1950.

Please note that post-1951 printed items from the Russian Periodical stock wil be delivered to the Reader Service Desks in the Library's New Building. Russian magazines and serials published over the past ten years are made available in the Current Periodicals Room in the New Building.

Visitors can get information about availability of materials in the Russian Periodical stock and their shelfmarks via the online catalogue of Journals/Serials in Russian, Ukrainian and Belarusian and card catalogues. If you need help, ask our Reference Librarians in the Current Periodicals Room.

You can order copies of our collection items at the Copy Service Desk.

The Russian Journals Room has access to full-text e-databases of Russian periodicals. Readers can consult the remote subscription resources online.
