In the 1980s, numerous publishing houses of Russia began to produce toy books for children. Toy books entertain children and teach them to make toys like models of vehicles, doll houses etc. Among them are some items with needles, threads, and beads that teach sewing skills. There are books that include yarns and knitting needles for young knitters. Toy books were brought together in a single collection within the general Russian holdings. The unique collection numbers some 400 toy books in Russian, Ukrainian and Byelorussian.
