O (100 õ 74). 526 leaves. The beginning is lost, several leaves are missing from the middle part of the codex.
Paper. Ink, cinnabar, colours.

It is written in a semi-uncial hand.

The illumination of the manuscript includes four miniatures ñ Evangelist portraits (fols. 17r, 143r, 230r, 366r). There are painted head-pieces in the Early Printed style (fols. 144r, 231r, 367r), ornamented tail-pieces (fols. 138r, 223v, 230r, 366r).

The codex is notable for its size. It is a quite rare example of a miniature manuscript Gospel. The text is written in a small exquisite semi-uncial script, decorated with miniatures and head-pieces. The manuscript contains later records dating from the second half of the 18th century that states that the Gospel belongs the inhabitant of the Grigorievskaya village of the Olonetsky province of the Oshtinsky churchyard of the Ryboretsky district Feodul Vasiliev Ryboretsky, and that he bought this book from the Moscow Danilov Monastery.

In 1883 the Gospel was presented to the Imperial Public Library by Amphilochy, Archimandrite of the Moscow Danilov Monastery.
