The Jnior Reading Room is located in the beautiful building of the former Institute for Noble Maidens, designed by the world-renowed architect J. Quarenghi. It occupies the gorgeous white-columned hall, attached to the institute by Quadri, a pupil of Quarenghi.

The Jounior Reading Room is intended for the Library readers aged between 14 and 17 years: schoolchildrens, students and other categories of young readers.

The Jnior Reading Room Collection comprises more than 46 thousand books covering all fields of knowledge and over 10 thousand magazines on various topics as well as reference literature.

The room has

• places for holding bibliographic lessons, seminars, thematic reviews, school conferences;
• a computer area where readers can access desktop computers and the Internet;
• multimedia language laboratories equipped with 2 computers;
• a video class containing educational materials on DVD, feature films.

Monday, Wednesday:   13:00 to 21:00;
Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday: 9:00 to 17:00.

The Library is closed on public holidays and last Tuesday of each month.
On pre-holidays, the Library is open from 9:00 to 16:00.
