On August 5-6, New Delhi hosted the G20 Festival of Libraries organized by the Ministry of Culture of India. It brought together experts from different countries and featured discussions on the modernization and digital transformation of libraries, as well as on library-oriented policies.
The festival was opened by the President of India Draupadi Murmu.
Vladimir Gronsky, Director General of the Russian National Library, was the speaker of the panel discussion that took place on August 6, together with librarians from India, Great Britain and Russia. The topic of discussion was the impact of libraries on the creative economy, as well as their place in the digital space.
The closing ceremony of the festival was attended by the Vice President of India, Jagdeep Dhankhar.
