On September 27 the National Library of Russia hosted the International Online Seminar "Guided Tours in Libraries".
Among the most important tasks of a modern library is the preservation and popularization of cultural heritage. The National Library of Russia tries to attract different audiences and excursion activities take a special place in its work. For example, during a guided tour to the National Library of Russia you can learn interesting facts about the history of the library, its architecture, walk through the ancient reading rooms, visit the storage rooms, and learn how to use library resources.
During the seminar specialists from national and public libraries of Brazil, Turkey, China, Russia, Belarus, Jordan, Qatar shared their experience in organizing excursion activities, told about the implemented projects and presented their views on the role of excursion services in work of their libraries.
The seminar was held in two languages (Russian and English).
