Mikhail Lermant's collection was acquired by the National Library of Russia in 1941. It includes 1141 bookplates dating the second half of the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries: engravings, lithographs and photogravure materials. The collection consisted primarily of works by his own contemporaries: works by artists belonging to the World of Art association and prominent Leningrad and Moscow designers of the 1920s and 1930s.
